Tapestry of Self-Love

It's always ironic to me, when the Universe gives us a little "pop quiz" on our self-proclaimed evolution. Notice, I did not say funny, because while wry and poetic, usually (at least for those of us who are perpetually hard-headed), the reminder is often not funny at all. As a matter of fact, it's often quite painful, though it doesn't need to be.

Case in point...this weekend, while rushing off to work, I scalded myself with hot green tea. Yep, 1st and 2nd degree burns on both forearms and my stomach too. I quietly mopped up my mess and proceeded to sit down at my desk and work a full day without so much as a peep. I knew exactly what was being driven home. The message was loud and clear "Slow down and take a few minutes for yourself for a change...NOW!" Of course, as a multi-tasking mom and business owner, I'm much too busy for that right now. Later, I'll take time, right? Uh, no, "You'll do it NOW!"

Well, dang, that command was driven home in no small way. I post my condition for the world to see, as I'm a chronic oversharer. No sympathy needed, just a deep desire to share my journey with others to offer reflection and contemplation for others, should they wish to imbibe.

Well, that whole "All Are One" thing must have kicked in big time. I have received a flood of healing energy and have been blanketed in prayer and Unconditional Love for about 48 hours straight. Needless to say the burns are almost completely healed. We are all woven into this tapestry of Love, and the first thread begins with us. Point well taken...duh.
