Simple Pleasures

My favorite recurring quote this week is "Be appreciative for what is. And be eager for what is coming." So simply said, and yet so profound. For the last several days, I've been spending a few minutes each day listening this and other high-vibrational input from Abraham-Hicks' new CD "Getting into the Vortex" guided meditations via my awesome speaker pillow.

Pushing forward with goals and aspirations is great. However, our strongest point of power is in the now. Celebrating the present moment, with some measure of gratitude and joy, is the most Divine thing you can do for yourself. I'm savoring simple pleasures today, and everyday.

We are safe, well-fed, well-housed, well-clothed, (mostly) gainfully employed and in good health and good spirits. It's only Tuesday, but I feel like I have labored at LEAST 7 days straight!  Yesterday's Valentine's Day was quiet and predictable...just what I needed.  I made my hubby's favorite (and simplest) meal and cupcakes.  We watched some TV as a family, then off to bed.  Did I mention we wake up at 4am daily for work?  Indeed, my favorite time was "lights out."  In that simplicity, I've found bliss.
